What's new with FinkFankFunk?
9 May 01 FinkFankFunk would like to officially state that no, it does not want to "kill all the Japanese," in spite of the appearance of our site for the past few days. We were hacked by a group called the 1ion Crew, who don't appear to be very funky people at all. This is also the reason the site has been out-of-date and missing some bits recently. But hey, it's a new day, and a better day's comin'.
8 May 01 We've had a busy pair of weekends, with a total of four outdoor shows in a row. Much love to those loyal fans who keep on coming out to support us and eat things like cotton candy, burgers and goat. We couldn't funk without you.

30 Apr 01 Nor justice nor funk for us, it would seem- Springfest ran late and we were rudely unplugged just as we were starting to shake the booties.  needless to say, it was hard for us to stop.  So don’t just sit there devoid of funk!

Write your UC representative, demanding the boogie that is your birthright!  Organize a love-in, and don’t let up till there’s funk for all!  And by golly, come to our Arts First show!

21 Apr 01 We got it stuck to us by the man!  Halfway through our second set at the advocate, right in the middle of 'it's a new day', HUPD gestapo'ed in on us and that was all folks.
Ari was a bit upset by this, as you can see.  But don't make no fuss, we got springfest comin' up...
Apr 01News has been a bit slow since we've been diggin' in deep with our studio work lately. thanks to our pals at NESCOM, Husson college, Bangor Maine, for making it all possible- and expect to see a slammin' finished product sometime in the next couple months. To tide you over for now, we have a pretty raw jam entitled "rhapsody in Maine" that occured by way of venting steam in the studio- check it out in realaudio format at Brett's site, Darkfunk.com, right here
And of course, we've got many gigs lined up for the spring, so check out the next and dates sections. Be there.
Dec 00We finished an awesome gig at our homegrounds at Harvard. Thanks to all our fans who came out and got down and Adams House for having us. Vast amounts of kudos go to our soundmen Keith and Jack for their first time on the job. Recordings from the gig should be up shortly, and when we get back from break you'll be able to spot yourself in the crowd in the pictures we'll be putting up.
We just started learning a nasty nasty tribute to that mop on scammon's head, a Graham Central Station slappy-funk masterpiece entitled 'Hair'. We also put together a mean version of the Otis Redding tune "Hard to Handle".

In the finances dept., the band has nearly unanimously decided its next purchase needs to be an '85 Econoline van with tints, to be our very own mothership.

And of course, in the romance dept., Ben continues to extend his challenge to all the ladies out there to help him get his groove on...
